Planned Overnight Power Outage Scheduled in Central Great Falls for System Upgrade

Great Falls, Mont. – Sept. 8, 2026 – Some NorthWestern Energy customers in portions of central Great Falls, generally north of 10th Avenue South to 3rd Avenue South and west of 16th Street South to 3rd Street South, will experience a planned power outage from midnight to approximately 5 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, while crews replace substation equipment that is nearing the end of its useful life.
Customers affected by the outage will receive an automated phone notification before the planned outage.
The work is necessary to maintain reliable electric service for customers.
