Date: May 19, 2025

TYPE: News

Sioux Falls, S.D./Butte, Mont. – May 19, 2025 – NorthWestern Energy announces the company earned certification as a Great Place to Work®.

The prestigious award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at NorthWestern Energy, and 68% of employees say it is a great place to work, 11 points higher than the average U.S. company.

“Being certified as a Great Place to Work is a powerful reflection of our culture and the people who make it thrive,” NorthWestern Energy Vice President Customer Care, Communications and HR Bobbi Schroeppel said.  “We are proud of this recognition, and we remain committed to listening, learning, and growing together to ensure our workplace is a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and inspired.”

In addition to being recognized as a great place to work by the majority of employees, 82% of NorthWestern Energy’s workforce say they are proud of the company’s accomplishments and contributions to the community.

"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasizes that Certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that NorthWestern Energy stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."

Being Great Place To Work Certified™ signifies that a company has cultivated a high-trust, high-performance workplace culture, as validated by its own employees. This certification is a globally recognized benchmark for exceptional employee experience and organizational culture.
