2018 Training Opportunities:

Qualified Installer/Electrician Training
NEC 2017 Solar, Energy Storage and 2018 I-Codes Summary is a 4-hour, in-person training course. This class will summarize the primary changes/requirements relative to solar PV and battery storage in the 2017 NEC, and also address the integration of the  2017 NEC with the 2018 I-Codes (International Fire Code and Building Codes). It is the 3rd class in a series on solar PV and battery storage changes/additions to the 2017-2018 Code cycles.

The curriculum will focus on specific target areas that are being highlighted by electrical and building inspectors in locations where the Codes have been fully implemented (Montana is currently in the adoption process relative to the 2017/2018 cycles). The core training material will be similar in scope to the information available to inspectors, and include the latest inspection “checklist” being circulated through the inspector networks.

This course is a requisite for contractors to maintain Qualified Installer status with NorthWestern EnergyIt is also open to installers seeking qualification and other interested professionals.

Participants who attend the workshop will be eligible for both State of Montana Electrical Board Code CE credits and/or NABCEP Code CE credits.

Trainings will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on the following dates/locations:

Building Operator Certification® (BOC) Training - Stay tuned for the 2019 dates & locations. No matter where your building is located or what it is used for, there’s one powerful tool that will make it run more efficiently: operator education.

Building systems are complex and interdependent. To get the most out of them, operators must be able to see the big picture. The Building Operator Certification® (BOC) program teaches facilities personnel to understand these systems and bring them collectively to peak efficiency.

Independent research shows that BOC credential-holders consistently save money and energy in their facilities – up to $20,000 a year – thanks to energy conservation projects, air quality improvements and other initiatives. For specific examples, take a look at case studies featuring BOC graduates.  To learn more about the BOC program visit:
