Whitehall March 5 early morning planned power outage will allow electric system work

Feb 18, 2019

Butte, Mont. –  NorthWestern Energy is notifying Whitehall residents and businesses of a 4-hour planned power outage that will begin 1 a.m., on Tuesday, March 5. The outage will allow company line crews to safely perform local utility system work. This work is necessary to deliver reliable service to Whitehall area customers and avoid longer outages in the future.

The impacted area covers the entire city of Whitehall, affecting the Whitehall Valley west to Pipestone Pass, and east to the Golden Sunlight Mine. The mine will not be affected.  Interstate 90 is the general northern boundary, extending south to Highway 55 near Forcella Lane, and to areas across the Jefferson River near Point of Rocks and Kountz roads.

The outage will also impact Vigilante Electric Cooperative members north and east of Whitehall, including the Cardwell area.
