Electric Supply Planning

NorthWestern submits an electricity supply resource plan to our state regulatory commission every 2 to 3 years. These plans serve to inform and support the resource management decisions necessary to ensure a reliable and affordable supply of electricity for all of our customers. They evaluate our current portfolio of electricity generation resources and identify our future needs over a 20-year forecast period. The development process for our 2022 Electricity Supply Plan is underway. Get involved and stay in touch by signing up for email updates.  We’ll let you know when meetings are scheduled and provide information on how to participate in our stakeholder meeting process.
