NorthWestern Energy Notifies Customers of Planned Power Outage in Scotland, South Dakota

NorthWestern Energy is planning a power outage for residents in the town of Scotland, South Dakota, and the surrounding area. The approximately two-hour outage is planned for Jan. 20.
NorthWestern Energy is notifying customers of an upcoming planned power outage for residents in the town of Scotland and the surrounding area. The approximately two-hour outage is planned for Tuesday, January 20, 2009 beginning at 5:00 a.m. The outage will affect customers in the city limits and the outlying areas.
“We are replacing some equipment in Scotland, and in order to do the work safely, the power must be shut off,” said Brad Wenande – Yankton Area Manager. “We chose to do the work in the early morning hours so that the outage would not inconvenience most residents.”
