If you are building a new home, we encourage you to include energy efficiency in your plans. Our E+ New Homes Program offers rebates for a number of energy saving measures. Any new home that is served by a NorthWestern Energy natural gas and/or electric account is eligible. The incentive can be paid to either the owner or the builder.
Choose a Northwest ENERGY STAR builder to maximize efficiency in your new home. Homes built to the Northwest ENERGY STAR home standards are certified to be energy efficient. They are also quiet, comfortable, and perform well for the homeowners. Call (866) 723-8677 for more information about Northwest ENERGY STAR homes and to find a qualified builder.
The energy saving measures and the associated incentive amounts can be found in the program guidelines and application form. Incentives for heating equipment are higher if you work with a preferred contractor.

Eligibility: NorthWestern Energy residential natural gas space-heating customers who are building a new home are eligible to participate and receive rebates for natural gas saving measures. NorthWestern Energy residential electric customers who are building a new home are eligible to participate and receive rebates for electric saving measures.

Program Dates
Qualifying purchases made on or after January 1, 2009, are eligible for the rebate. Incentive amounts are valid through November 30, 2010.
Funding Source
Funding for the E+ New Homes Program is provided through NorthWestern Energy electric and natural gas supply rates for its electric and natural gas supply customers.
