Motor Rewind Rebate

Help reduce your electricity costs and save money when repairing electric motors. NorthWestern Energy’s E+ Motor Rewind Rebate program makes it more affordable to rewind existing motors to maintain existing efficiency standards.

Standardized rebates are provided for rewind work on 20 horsepower (Hp) through 500 Hp motors. Rebates for larger motors will be customized based upon the incremental cost of the motor and the value of the electrical savings.

This program is limited to NEMA Premium™, Epact, and standard motor designs "A” and “B” electric motors only. Motors meeting NEMA Premium® efficiency requirements cost less to operate since they use less electricity for the same task. Click here for a listing of NEMA premium efficiency motors.

NorthWestern Energy is working with the Green Motors Practices Group to promote Motor Service Centers that consistently produce rewinds that retain or improve reliability and efficiency in motor driven systems. Only motors rewound by qualified Green Motors Practice Group members qualify for rebates.

Eligibility: NorthWestern Energy electric commercial, industrial, and irrigation supply customers are eligible to participate in the program; large Choice customers are not eligible.
